Residential Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems are widely used to provide safe-to-drink water for families. As the main filtration stage of the RO filtration system, MS RO membranes deliver consistent performance for all users with advanced membrane technology and automated spiral-wound fabrication. MS RO membrane elements, NSF/ANSI Standard 58 certified, have a high permeated flow while keeping a 99% TDS removal rate, and a stabilized salt rejection rate by 97%.
The MS RO membrane can efficiently remove contaminants like heavy metals including primary fluoride, calcium, magnesium, lead, colloids, chromium, and nitrates, as well as organic, rubber mass, harmful minerals, and other soluble salts from water. With a universal size of 11.75 x 1.75", MS RO membrane fits most 10 Inch industry-standard RO systems.
The list of compatible systems includes but is not limited to: APEC Water Systems RO-90, ROES-50, ROES-PH75, ROES-UV75, RO-Hi, RO-PERM; Aquatic Life RO Buddie (Part No. 330084); Express Water RO10DX, RO10MX, RO10XC, RO5DX, RO5M, RO5X; GE GXRM10RBL, GXRV10ABL, GXRV10ABL01 (Part No. FX12M); H2O Splash RO Systems; Hague H3500; Home Master TMAFC, TMHP; iSpring RCC1P, RCC1UP, RCC1UP-AK, RCC7, RCC7AK, RCC7AK-UV, RCC7D, RCC7D2, RCC7P, RCC7P-AK, RCC7U (Part No. MC5); Max Water Residential RO Systems; PureGen ERO-550, EROUV-650, and more.
It is recommended that systems using these elements rinse the elements for 24 hours, prior to first use, to meet NSF/ANSI 58 Standard. The first full tank of permeate must be discarded. Do not use this initial permeate for drinking water or food preparation. Keep elements moist at all times after initial wetting. To prevent biological growth during prolonged system shutdowns, it is recommended that membrane elements be immersed in a preservative solution. Rinse out the preservative before use. The membrane shows some resistance to short-term attack by chlorine (hypochlorite). Continuous exposure, however, may damage the membrane and should be avoided.
MS Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes are made from 100% food-grade Thin Film Composite (TFC) material for ultimate purification performance with high permeate flow, tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI 58 standards, providing safe-clean drinking water. The 50 GPD RO membrane has a high 97% stabilized salt rejection rate, reducing hundreds of impurities by over 99% through the 0.0001-micron TFC membrane layer, including heavy metals, organic materials, and harmful minerals.
This industry-standard 11.75 x 1.75-inch membrane element is designed to fit in standard 1812/2012 residential-style RO membrane housings utilizing a 2-inch internal diameter, making it suitable for most Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Systems. The membrane has a life expectancy between 24 to 36 months, based on average feedwater quality, temperature, and incoming water pressure.
